🌊 Our Journey

HALO EFOILS began with a simple idea — to create a safer, smarter, and more sustainable way to ride the water. What started as a small garage project in British Columbia has grown into a Canadian clean-marine technology company with patented systems, global partnerships, and a loyal community of riders. Along the way, we’ve faced challenges, breakthroughs, and incredible moments of innovation that shaped who we are today. From developing the world’s first integrated MSLED lighting system to earning Transport Canada approval for our enclosed M-Jet propulsion, our journey has been defined by passion, persistence, and purpose. Each design, test, and wave we ride moves us closer to redefining the future of electric watercraft — proving that with vision and dedication, even the boldest ideas can take flight.

🌊 Our Mission

⚡ Innovation-Focused Options - CEO Carey Missler

At HALO EFOILS, our mission is to revolutionize clean-marine mobility through intelligent design, advanced engineering, and sustainable innovation. We believe that the future of water sports and transportation should be silent, efficient, and environmentally responsible — without sacrificing performance or thrill.

Our team of engineers, designers, and innovators works relentlessly to push the boundaries of what electric hydrofoils can do. From our patented MSLED Lighting System to the M-Jet Enclosed Propulsion and VertiDrive™ Adjustable Mast, every product we build reflects a commitment to safety, precision, and unmatched rider experience.

We’re not just building efoils — we’re creating a new category of clean technology that blends innovation with adventure. Whether it’s a professional athlete, a weekend rider, or a global distributor, HALO’s mission remains the same: to empower people to ride smarter, safer, and cleaner on any body of water in the world.

Our Journey So Far

2020 — The Beginning of Innovation

HALO IS FOUNDED

HALO EFOILS was founded in Kelowna, British Columbia, with a bold vision to redefine the future of electric watercraft. Operating out of a modest 10x20 storage unit, the company achieved over $1 million in sales during its first phase — proving that innovation, determination, and customer trust could outperform any limitation. These early successes laid the foundation for a world-class clean-marine technology brand.

2022 — Patented Technology Secured

GROUNDBREAKING PATENTS APPROVED IN CANADA & USA

After years of rigorous design, testing, and validation, HALO was officially granted patents in Canada and the United States for two groundbreaking systems: the MSLED Marine Lighting System and the VertiDrive™ Adjustable Telescopic Mast. These patents solidified HALO'S position as a pioneer in efoil safety, illumination, and adaptable design — marking a major milestone in advancing global electric watercraft standards.

2023 — Adversity and Resilience

CEO INJURED

In 2023, Founder and CEO Carey Missler faced a life-altering challenge after suffering a severe blunt force neck injury that led to a stroke. Despite the setback, Carey’s leadership and the team’s commitment to innovation never wavered. This period tested HALO’s strength as a company, reinforcing its foundation of perseverance, purpose, and unity.

2024 — Recovery, Strength, and National Compliance

RECOVER BUSINESS & PERSONALLY

Carey returned to HALO stronger than ever, refocusing the company’s strategy, strengthening partnerships, and tightening operations across R&D, production, and finance. Shortly thereafter, HALO achieved a historic milestone — full Transport Canada approval for its proprietary propulsion systems, including the M-Jet Enclosed Propulsion System, confirming compliance for operation in all Canadian waterways.

2025 — Growth, Recognition, and Leadership

WE BACK BABY - REBRANDED HALO EFOILS

HALO EFOILS entered 2025 with momentum and mastery. Under Carey’s renewed leadership, the company surpassed $2 million in lifetime sales, expanded its partnerships, and received full Transport Canada approval across its propulsion technologies. With multiple patents, proprietary systems, and Transport Canada–certified designs, HALO has firmly established itself as Canada’s leader in eFoil innovation and intellectual property, setting the national standard for safety, performance, and design. Recognized for pioneering advancements such as the patented MSLED™ lighting system and VertiDrive™ telescopic mast, HALO continues to redefine the boundaries of clean-marine technology. With a growing global customer base, proven sales traction, and a clear roadmap toward large-scale production, HALO is poised for a powerful 2026 — a year dedicated to expansion, new product launches, and solidifying its position as one of the most innovative electric watercraft brands in the world.
