🌊 Our Journey

HALO EFOILS began with a simple idea — to create a safer, smarter, and more sustainable way to ride the water. What started as a small garage project in British Columbia has grown into a Canadian clean-marine technology company with patented systems, global partnerships, and a loyal community of riders. Along the way, we’ve faced challenges, breakthroughs, and incredible moments of innovation that shaped who we are today. From developing the world’s first integrated MSLED lighting system to earning Transport Canada approval for our enclosed M-Jet propulsion, our journey has been defined by passion, persistence, and purpose. Each design, test, and wave we ride moves us closer to redefining the future of electric watercraft — proving that with vision and dedication, even the boldest ideas can take flight.

🌊 Our Mission

⚡ Innovation-Focused Options - CEO Carey Missler

At HALO EFOILS, our mission is to revolutionize clean-marine mobility through intelligent design, advanced engineering, and sustainable innovation. We believe that the future of water sports and transportation should be silent, efficient, and environmentally responsible — without sacrificing performance or thrill.

Our team of engineers, designers, and innovators works relentlessly to push the boundaries of what electric hydrofoils can do. From our patented MSLED Lighting System to the M-Jet Enclosed Propulsion and VertiDrive™ Adjustable Mast, every product we build reflects a commitment to safety, precision, and unmatched rider experience.

We’re not just building efoils — we’re creating a new category of clean technology that blends innovation with adventure. Whether it’s a professional athlete, a weekend rider, or a global distributor, HALO’s mission remains the same: to empower people to ride smarter, safer, and cleaner on any body of water in the world.

Our Journey So Far

2020 — HALO IS FOUNDED

A VISION TO REDEFINE EFOIL SAFETY AND VISIBILITY

Halo was founded by Carey Missler with a clear mission to solve one of the most critical gaps in electric hydrofoil technology: safety and rider visibility. After identifying the growing global adoption of efoils and the lack of integrated safety solutions, Carey began developing Halo’s proprietary lighting and propulsion technologies. Early prototyping and testing led to the creation of Halo’s foundational systems, designed to enhance rider awareness, improve visibility in all conditions, and establish a new safety standard for the industry. This marked the beginning of Halo’s journey to become a leader in electric hydrofoil innovation and patented safety technology.

2022 — PATENTS SECURED AND TECHNOLOGY VALIDATED

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY ESTABLISHES HALO’S COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

Halo achieved a major milestone in 2022 with the successful filing and advancement of its core patents protecting its proprietary lighting and propulsion technologies. These patents established Halo’s intellectual property foundation, securing exclusive rights to key safety and propulsion innovations within the electric hydrofoil industry. This marked Halo’s transition from early-stage development to a protected technology company, creating long-term strategic value and opening the door for future licensing, partnerships, and global expansion. With its intellectual property secured, Halo strengthened its position as a pioneer in next-generation electric watercraft safety and propulsion systems.

2023 — Strength Through Adversity

LEADERSHIP TESTED. MISSION STRENGTHENED.

Halo successfully navigated a challenging leadership period while continuing to advance its patented technology platform and strategic roadmap. The company’s foundation, built on innovation, discipline, and long-term vision, ensured uninterrupted progress and positioned Halo for accelerated growth in the years that followed.

This period reinforced Halo’s resilience and strengthened its commitment to becoming the global leader in electric hydrofoil safety and propulsion systems.

2024 — NATIONAL VALIDATION AND STRATEGIC ACCELERATION

STRATEGIC REFOCUS AND NATIONAL VALIDATION

Carey returned to Halo with renewed focus, strengthening the company’s strategic direction, expanding key partnerships, and reinforcing operational execution across R&D, production, and finance. Shortly thereafter, Halo achieved a major milestone with full Transport Canada approval for its proprietary propulsion technologies, including the M-Jet Enclosed Propulsion System, confirming compliance for operation across Canadian waterways and validating Halo’s leadership in safe, advanced electric watercraft propulsion.

2025 — GLOBAL EXPANSION AND MARKET LEADERSHIP

REBRAND COMPLETE. FOUNDATION FOR SCALE ESTABLISHED.

Halo entered 2025 with strong momentum, surpassing $2 million in lifetime sales and completing its strategic evolution into Halo Efoils. With full Transport Canada approval, multiple granted patents, and proprietary propulsion and safety technologies, Halo firmly established itself as Canada’s leader in electric hydrofoil innovation and intellectual property. The company expanded its global partnerships, strengthened its technology platform, and laid the operational foundation required for scalable production and international growth. With proven product-market validation, protected intellectual property, and increasing demand, Halo is now positioned to expand globally, pursue strategic licensing opportunities, and solidify its role as one of the most advanced electric watercraft technology companies in the world.
